School Libraries Quiz

South Dublin County Council Libraries organised a table quiz for many of the schools in our area. It was held in Tallaght Library on Tuesday 6th February. Twelve children from 5th and 6th classes represented our school. The questions were both interesting and challenging. Operation Transformation 2018

Operation Transformation We have been inspired by the popular T.V. programme to improve healthy eating habits and to increase activity levels in our school. We are doing some extra physical activity on top of PE class. Activities include aerobics, walking and jogging. Maths Eyes Competition

All classes eagerly participated in our “Maths Eyes” Competition which was organised as part of the 12th annual Maths Week during October 2017. Our pupils were encouraged to sharpen their mathematical senses, to look around and to take time to make connections between the Maths they learn in school and what they find in their immediate environment. Credit Union Quiz 2018

The Credit Union Quiz Greenhills Credit Union organised the first round of the Credit Union Quiz on Monday 29th January this year. Debate with St Damian’s N.S

On Friday 26th January Ms. Duggan’s Fifth Class and Ms. Burke’s 6th class particpated in two debates in St. Damian’s N.S. Gergely, Emilia, Ryan and Zara from Ms. Duggan’s class and Hannah, Niamh, Madison and Jack from Ms. Burke’s class spoke eloquently on their debate topics and were commended on their teamwork and clear arguments. 5th Class Bird Houses and Feeders

As part of our Green School programme we have been learning all about Biodiversity (Bio = Life; Diversity = Variety). In order to encourage a variety of different species of birds to visit our school garden our class made Bird Houses and Bird Feeders from recycled materials. They will be placed in our school garden in the coming weeks. Well done to everyone for their outstanding work!
